I submitted my capstone project yesterday! I had heard that motion design takes a long time to execute, but even then, I needed more time than I thought. The past two weeks was an intensive focus on execution of the motion I had planned. Especially with the COVID-19 situation, I had a lot of curveballs, but ultimately I’m still proud of the final piece that I made. I was able to execute the majority of my vision and get crash courses in toolsets like Duik as well. Ultimately, I hope to use this project as a springboard to dive even deeper into motion design alongside my graphic design practices as well. It’s by no means perfect, and I hope to improve on it in the future, but it was a truly valuable experience.
